About Neon Quarry Glassworks
Stained glass is a new and exciting chapter in my creative journey. As someone who has worked across many mediums, I’m drawn to the way glass combines precision, unpredictability, and beauty in a way that keeps me both grounded and surprised.
Most of my current work explores botanical themes—shapes, textures, and rhythms found in nature—filtered through the lens of color, light, and composition. I'm still learning the unique personality of each piece of glass: how it behaves, how it cuts, and, most intriguingly, how it transforms when illuminated. Much like baking, there’s always a moment of anticipation at the end—some colors sing louder than I expected, while others quietly support the whole. That shifting interplay, especially as light changes throughout the day, is endlessly inspiring to me.
Though I’m new to the medium, I find joy in its challenges and quirks. Each piece is a study in balance—between planning and letting go, between bold color and quiet shadow. I create with a sense of wonder, eager to see what each new window or panel will teach me.
